Acurix Networks uses wind to power a Wi-Fi repeater station in the heart of Rottnest Island.
As there isn't a good line of sight across the Island, Acurix Networks installed a repeater station that allowed line of sight to many of the different bays around the Island. The site provides several days of battery back-up and is recharged as the wind crosses the Island.
